Why does every muscian today consider themselves rap artists?

All the music nowadays is made by rockers who wish they could rap. What happened to the days of Ludacris, Method Man, Lil Jon, 2pac, Biggie Smalls, and Snoop? Not a rap fan anymore

4. They need to find a way to sell cd's. Shifting to another genre or combining it with rap is one way. :-)x
5. That generalization is totally inaccurate. A lot of my favorite musicians don't consider themselves rap artists: Lou Reed, David Byrne, Patti Smith, Bjork, Aphex Twin, The White Stripes, etc.

7. calling those idiots rockers is an insult to rock, rap is hardly even music, I'd rather listen to my dogs barking or someone scrape a chalk board
8. xd..well because they think if u are talking fast and stuff that it is rap or hip hop and u have a cool beat or w/e.......i dance to hip hop and now a days i can't find a good song to dance too! its sucks
