  6. The Gangsta rap trend I believe is slowly dieing. Lil Scrappy, Lil Jon two of the main gangsta rappers haven't been heard about in a while. While rap is having a turning point into a more softer music. (Gnarls Barkley, or even some of T.I. songs) I agree with the message and all.   8. First of all "gangsta" rap died when the new millenium came in. Now it is all about pop, rock, hip-hop, and R&B. Most rappers now are rapping about their life styles.

  11. Gangsta Rap isn't a trend. Its a sub-genre like acid or alternative hip hop. Arguably the most popular. Thus why you think its a trend. Its like saying "Hasn't indie rock gone on for long enough? More progressive rock". A trend is something like Auto-tune or Vocoders or "Chopped and screwed". If you peep the scene at the moment, Most people aren't even trying to hear that genre. Backpack and Swag rap is at the forefront. Its popular because a lot of people live vicariously through the music they listen to. Most people aren't going to have a life similar to what Young Jeezy or Game rap about (be it true or not) so they take something from it. Thus why its so popular.
  12. GANGSTA RAP WAS THE OLD WEST. NOW IT'S TRAP RAP AND THAT SHYT IS GETTING OLD BUT VIOLENT RAPS WON'T EVER GET OLD B/C AMERICA IS LIKE THAT AND PEOPLE JUST SPEAK ON WHAT THEY SEE. PLUS, AMERICA LIKES VIOLENCE.

  14. Gangster rap ain't that big at the momentanyways, is more like a sub-genre at the moment. Currently its all about the mainstreme Dance Rap tracks (Florida and a-like) and Hip Hop with a Pop vibe.

Real Gangsta rap hasent been around in time apart from The Game in my opinion it about time teh west started poppin out more artist and give is us that gangsta rap we love .Gangsta rap gave us one of the best times in hip hop ever back in early 90's such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, D.O.C., Eazy E, Comptons Most Wanted, Too Short, Da Lench Mob,.
