What instruments or sound is used to make good gangsta rap beats?

Hello everyone, I am new at making beats and I still don't know much about that thing. But I am soon gonna figure that out and eventually get used. But can anyone tell me what kind of instruments should I use to make good gangsta rap beats in FL studio please? Thank you

2. Most of the pros in the music business use a midi sequencer. It doesn't take too long to learn. There are low end amateur programs out there such as Fruity loops, but I recommend using protools or sonar like the pros. These days, it's all within your reach. Get some good studio monitors if you can.
