  1. gangsta rap - usually talks about life in the ghetto (selling weed, stealing, etc.) hardcore rap - talks about the violent aspects of the streets (murder, rape, etc.) mafioso rap - deals with more organized crime, namely selling cocaine in large amounts
  2. Gangsta is rapping about gang banging, cruising, being hood pretty much Hardcore is the more violent side of gangsta rap, like @#*! the stealing and dealing we gunna go rape and kill. Mafioso is about being a part of that world but looking to get out, however possible. It is about being richer than the Don. Probably more positive than the others, because it does nothing to glorify the streets, just tells it like it is.
  3. gangsta rap: talks about a gangsta life, like bangin, sellin drugs, bitches, the police... examples are ice cube, game,.... hardcore rap: talks about the street life, which is different because its not about bangin n shit, but its harder than gangsta rap talking about murder, strugglin and poverty and shit...example is dmx mafioso rap: it talks about the flashy life of a rich mafioso, as hardcore and gangsta rap talk about the real lifes and poverty of the streets, they can also talk about regrets in their life, but mostly about drinkin champagne, puffin cigars, sellin tons of drugs and buyin expensive shit with that money....examples are raekwon and the albums it was written by nas and reasonable doubt by jay-z, as theyre other albums were different.
  4. Gangsta Rap - Talkin about livin in the ghetto and gangbangin and lowriding (most of that stuff) Hardcore - Has a in-your-face delivery most of the time and talks about the streets and struggles. Mafioso - Talks about living rich and in luxury and stuff like that.
  5. Gangsta Rap: Talks about being hood and ghetto. In this style the artist is the Gangsta so they talk about shooting up sh*t, selling drugs, and f*cking b*tches. Its a type of hardcore hip hop. So gangsta rap is always hardcore but hardcore isn't necessarily gangsta. Artists - Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, The Game, Even the Wu can be considered gangsta Hardcore Hip Hop: Talks about the hard street life and chilling stories about the ghetto. In this genre, they are not the gangsta. They are talking about the gangstas. Not all hardcore hip hop is necesarily gangsta. Artists - Mobb Deep, Nas, Wu Tang, Kool G. Rap Mafioso Rap: A type of Gangsta Rap. This is where rappers pretend that they are part of the mafia. They talk about selling drugs mostly. Artists - Jay-Z, Raekwon, Nas, AZ
