Right now, I think T.I. , Flo-rida, Pittbull, LL Cool J, Souja Boy, and Eminem are the most current rappers I can think of. As of know, I know the following rap songs are popular now: We Made You by Eminem(he sang it at the MTV movie awards) Kiss Me Through the Phone by Souja Boy Sugar by Flo-rida Right Round by Flo-rida I Know You Want Me by Pittbull Dead and Gone by T.I. ft. Those are bad reasons to start listening to rap. You need to go listen to Lupe Fiasco or people like that. Rappers like Wayne and Jocker only like to brag about themselves. I used to like music like that but then I turned 18 and grew up a lil bit.
I don't listen to much commercial rap but if u want some real rap with some meaning behind the lyrics listen to some Common, Lupe Fiasco, B.O.B, Redman and Method Man just dropped a new album, Pharoahe Monch, Outkast, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, and The Roots, older Kanye West. Those are probably some of my favorite artists.
