What music that's sorta like rap music can white boys listen to without looking like a wigger?
I mean, if a white boy like rap, then he likes rap. He just like the poetic style of hip hop music. But if a white boy listens to hip hop music, he'll be accused of being a wigger. What type of music is like rap but is "safe" for whites to listen to?

- -The blues -Soul music -Rhythm and blues -P-Funk
- hell IDK I like Eminem and I dont get judged by my black friends.
- who cares as long as you don't look like one
- Dude who cares what other people think. If u like rap then listen to rap man. I listen to all kinds from 2 pac to jay z and im also white. If you have confidence they wont make fun of you trust me
- You won't be accused of being a wigger if you like rap. You'll be accused of being a wigger if you act like a stereotype. Edit: But if anyone calls you a wigger for liking rap, just deal with it. If you like country, you're a redneck dumb*ss, if you like classical you're a snob, if you like emo you're a goth, if you like pop you're brainwashed. These labels are rediculous, just listen to what you think is good. Edit: Also I'd like to add that black people pretty much invented all the good music genre's, so it's futile to try to listen to "white" music.
- In short.......you are not considered a wigger unless you start dressing like a thug and speaking like one as well, so you can listen to the music you want just dont wear the ....apparel. Just google wigger, everything you see AVOID! eg: Wigger (alternatively spelled wigga, whigger, wegro, or whigga, also known as acting black) is a pejorative slang term for a white person who allophilically emulates mannerisms, slang, and fashions stereotypically associated with urban African Americans and urban Black British and Caribbean culture, especially in relation to hip hop culture and British Grime/Garage scene.[1] The term most likely stems from a portmanteau of the word white and the derogatory term nigger. The word is considered offensive by some because of its similarity to n$gger in addition to reflecting stereotypical notions about urban blacks.
- Listen to what you want and don't worry about being judged. Personally so long as you don't act like a moron and act like you're a black rapper you aren't a wigger, it's the fools who walk around with the baggy pants down to their knees and the cocked hats and du-rags who talk with the stupid slang and shit that act like they're in a gang in a town of 4000 people. Those are the wiggers. If you want some other stuff though, look into bands like MGMT, or busdriver, or Kool Keith. with the exception of MGMT They are rap, but lesser known, will give you some credibility too.
- LMFAO! Music is music and has no race or gender. You like what you like and if you get called a wigger 4 it so be it. Who cares. a former bf and my husband both like 2pac. They're both white and no one has ever called them wiggers .... Does it mean I'm white b/c I don't care for rap and listen to pop music, led zeppelin, zz top, pink Floyd, metallica, garth brooks, tim mcgraw, etc? I listen to just about all kinds of music. If ppl call u a wigger it's b/c they're ignorant. Don't pay them any attention
- Huh? Don't be so self conscious! Listen to whatever you want no one is going to call you a wigger Geto Boys, Nas, Wu-Tang, Jay-Z, Biggie, Dr. Dre I'm listening to right now and I'm WHITE, not a wigger either I like rock and country too. What do you mean "poetic" style of hip hop anyway? like blacks don't listen to that? EDIT to point out that I just read your profile and you're Asian and you like rap and use the slang. By your logic what would that make you, a chigger?
- OMG, I'm dying. Funniest question ever.
- R&B
- Being a wigger has more to do with hip hops influence on U as a person listen to watever u want just dont take it to the heart. Lmao like today I saw this real wigger had baggy azz pants a size 4X shirt and (drumroll............) A DURAG A FUQQIN DURAG.
- That's dumb. Listen to what you love. You only have one life, don't let other people influence what you can or can't listen to, because if you do you will miss out on a lot of great stuff. White people make up a lot of the hip-hop community (fans). Most people that don't listen to hip-hop just don't know that. I listen to it, because I like the beats, storytelling, lyrical ability, and creativity of it especially when done right.
- WTF? I am white and come from Yorkshire and listen to rap music.
- F^*k 'Em hand 'em a bottle of Haterade
- white dude if you like rap listen to rap, by the way i listen to the strokes. if you like a genre of music or artist race dont matter listen to it.
- Do you honestly think rap would be anywhere nearly as popular as it is now without white people listening to it? Whites buy most of the rap records. Regardless, hip hop sucks and the "culture" that surrounds it is even worse. I wish it was never invented.
- @Craftsman: I agree with everything you said until you said black people created all the good music genres. Classical is the most musically advanced popular (in a sense) genre ever (disregarding lyrics totally), although jazz and hip-hop are neck to neck with it in terms of greatness imo. To answer the question, who gives a f*ck what people think? If you're scared to listen to music for fear of being judged, stereotypes such as this will continue to last and no one will step up. There are plenty of Caucasians that listen to underground hip-hop, and plenty of white rappers that are lyrically amazing as well. If you know all this and are simply asking for hip-hop recommendations, try GZA - Liquid Swords or Cannibal Ox - Cold Vein.
